Every two minutes in the United States, a person is sexually assaulted.  Every. Two. Minutes.  Let that sink in for a minute (or two).

Now that you have taken a moment to ponder the grave reality of that statistic (while probably doing some quick math equations in your head), you can understand why someone like myself has made it their personal mission to move the needle in the other direction, or in this case, small hand on the clock.

This website was created for three main reasons:

  1. To flash a giant spotlight on the fact that women, LGBTQ, GNC, persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and brown and black people are experiencing sexual violence at alarming rates in this county; while raising awareness, promoting activism, and highlighting champions and change makers. To curate helpful information, dispel myths, and dismantle a culture that normalizes sexual violence.
  2. To create a community for those passionate about lowering the incident rates of sexual violence.  EVERYTHING surrounding this subject matter will be covered on this site. Turn off the Google Alerts and forgo mining information via hashtags on Twitter. All the information you need will be housed on this site, nicely organized by subject tags so you can find exactly what you are looking for quickly and easily.
  3. This site is for the survivors – as a message of hope and vigilance.

Thank you for visiting, and more importantly, caring.
