A 34 year old man from Sandnes, Norway was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months’ in prison and fined NOK $150,000 for the rape of a sleeping woman.
The sexual assault happened at a party in 2015. The plaintiff testified that she said ‘stop’ and also tried to push the defendant away with her elbow. The survivor’s testimony is supported by other evidence
“The Court puts trust in the victim’s testimony, which appears to be sober and sincere,” says the ruling.
