Three Republican senators in Kentucky want to eliminate sexual harassment training for lawmakers, with one calling it a “ridiculous” waste of time.
Sens. John Schickel, Paul Hornback and Tom Buford filed Senate Bill 152 Friday, which would repeal sexual harassment training for General Assembly members and cut down the ethics training from three hours to 30 minutes.
Schickel said he didn’t think repealing the training would send the wrong message because no one has spoken up about it.
“Everybody is afraid to say anything,” he said. “This is just an exercise in political correctness.”
