UK’s Sky News presenter Stephen Dixon questions whether drunk women wearing short skirts should take responsibility for sexual assault.
The 42-year-old was joined by co-star Isabel Webster, weather woman Nazaneen Ghaffar, journalist Sebastian Payne and professor Sarah Churchwell on air, when he made the controversial remarks.
“Is it a dreadful thing to say that if women are out in short skirts and drunk, that they don’t need to take any personal responsibility?” Stephen asked.
Professor Churchwell interrupted him stating, “Yes. Let me ask you a question – if you’re walking down the street and you get punched in the face, are you responsible for having left your house?”
